During the ten years I spent painting full time, I took the opportunity to re-evaluate almost everything I thought I knew about making pictures and creating art. Working in multiple styles and discovering the Broken Canvas Series led me down artistic avenues that are difficult to describe with words. Suffice it to say, after completing over 300 works, painting has made me a better draftsman, a more confident decision maker and a decided seeker of adventurous possibilities.
Painting showed me that I have the ability to invest every part of who I am into the work and to simultaneously be able to let it all go into nothingness if need be.
